Day Nine

Shamanize your brain. Be your own good witch. A shaman treats physical illness by cleansing negative energies that confuse or pollute the soul. They mend the soul to restore the body to balance, thus ridding the body of the ailment. What if you could do that for your mind? Mend your mind in order to restore your spirit. Cleanse negative thoughts that confuse and pollute you and restore balance to your brain.

The first step is knowing what you want and…

Day Eight

Prozac or a shaman? This DAF stuff is a crock! (That's directed attention fatigue for those of you who missed it yesterday.) I'm out in nature and I'm still stressed out! Deep breath out, white light in.

I'm sure the two parking tickets and the house call last night from my bank letting me know I was late on one payment didn't help. Should I feel like a preferred customer or freak out? One payment a little late. Damn. A house call. Damn. Did they think I was going…

Day Seven

One week in and I feel like I’m not accomplishing enough. There is still so much to do. It seems like I won’t be able to do it all unless I have each day mapped out to perfection. I’ve been focusing on what isn’t done, what I still need to do and what I can do that will help; to do lists, strategic plans, mapping out steps, time tables to calculate how to do it - and all in 100 days!

While time management is important to ensure no time is…

Day Six

Restoration of Spirit is sort of like one big Day Zero or lots of Day Zero's. It's about discovering who you are and what your dreams are and getting back to that. But there's more. With discovery there is a shift or changes that take place that need maintenance or we'll relapse back into who we don't want to be. We need to keep doing the things that restored us in the first place and seek continued learning and growth. When we take these steps, we tend to be open and centered. When we are… Continue

Day Five

Day Five. Five is my favorite number. It was the number of my favorite hockey player, Phil Russell of the Chicago Blackhawks, back in the day. I think we shared the same Birthday-July 21st. I probably only liked him because he was cute. I don't know a damn thing about sports. That's what you get when you don't have an American, sports lovin' father. That's fine with me though. I can only imagine how much busier I'd be if I had to make time for a game. Apparently I don't even have time to get… Continue

Day Four

Man, these Ruby slippers are killing me. Breaking in a new dream can be painful. With only 100 days, I sort of didn't realize that I don't get weekends off! I've only had four hours to myself in the last 32 hours and I won't be alone again until Monday at 8:30AM. I should have used my four hours to write and work on my goals. But then there's that word again, SHOULD.

I spoke to my Mom today and she asked what I've been doing about losing weight and earning money.…

Day Three

Well, yesterday I was starting to believe the guy I interviewed about Day Zero. He said most people start too big and are over ambitious with their goals and then wind up failing. I was overwhelmed with everything I was adding onto my plate and it seemed to much for one person to tackle. My writing was freezing up and I was beginning to panic. I wanted to quit before I failed. I started re-evaluating everything I was doing, doubting myself and wondering if everyone was thinking I was nuts.… Continue

Day Two

What the beep did I get myself into? I am totally overwhelmed with how much I need to accomplish. Now it's real. And I've told everyone. There is no turning back, just petal to the metal baby!

I'm tired again and grouchy. I ran errands last night to get the must have flip video camera, so now I can video blog on the go, when I'm incoherent and can't write. Then I was up working late-only 5 hours of sleep. I swore I wouldn't do that again! Damn. To top it off, this morning,…

Day One

Yesterday was sunny, unseasonably warm and wonderful. I had lots of energy and was excited to start the challenge. I did some good writing and knew my next steps. Then I ran into problems. The website wasn't going live and I was up till 2:00AM trying to upload video to no avail. I didn't get my "way of the day" up either and the site doesn't look the way I want it to. Today is cooler, cloudy and I am very low energy. I am soooo tired. Not the best conditions to start a challenge. I have the… Continue

Day Zero Project

The Day Zero Project challenges you to create a list of 101 things you want to do in the next 1001 days. Michael Green, the founder of the project and website says to write down your ideas and goals first, then use your imagination to add more items to the list. If you run out of ideas, because 101 things are a lot, then you can go to the website and use their idea finder. You may be surprised with what you find there. The ideas… Continue

Day Zero. I can't believe how much has been happening. As soon as I put out to the Universe what I wanted and committed to it, rockets started launching.

It was nearing the end of August and I still didn't know what I would be doing to earn a living once the kids went back to school. No job. No money. I had so many ideas and have so many talents but I couldn't decide how to best direct them and fast, to get out of a desperate situation. So, I decided to challenge myself.…

The Day Before Day Zero-The Learning Curve

Tomorrow is day zero, the day before day one! I'm gearing up and getting ready to start my 100 day challenge! I am not a techie-some may say I am computer illiterate or even a cave woman. Five years ago I was still using the DOS operating system on a PC (do you even remember what that is anymore?) and had never held a mouse, seen windows, never been online and did not have or want email. That has changed. I have since officially fallen in love with Steve Jobs and am a converted and devout Mac… Continue
